I Hope You Find What You Are Looking For

Well I have successfully landed in Montreal and all settled into my place for the month. I am very nervous/excited about the whole project. So let me finally tell you about it after I have been keeping it a secret for months. I am looking for another person whom I have never met, in a city where I am not familiar, and I have to find them. The project is about the journey and documentation, and the creative aspect of finding the other person, so it is not a big deal if I never end up finding them.  If anyone has questions I am happy to answer.

So I flew in today went for some fab Thai food, got groceries, got lost, had numb hands, google mapped my house, got home.

I will keep everyone who is curious updated on here.

My Favourite New Painting!!

Summer of Fun

Bonjour all,

Welcome to my summer of fun blog. My summer endeavours will consist of a whirl wind of events. In July I will be in Montreal for the whole month!! What a splendid city I cannot wait to roam the streets. My Mother, Philip and Carly will be joining me near the end of July and we will, I am sure, eat and drink until we burst. 2 weeks until I depart.

In the fall I will have the opportunity so spend all of september in France just 40 small miles from Paris in the CAMAC residence. http://www.camac.org/. Painting my little butt off, I will have the whole month to be inspired by the french country side and create new and innovative works of art. I am also looking for visitors if anyone is interested. I would love to venture to Amsterdam after my time in France.
Thank you to the Arts Without Borders Lloydminster for the Bursary.  One little hiccup I didn't get my funding from the Saskatchewan Government, which I was very much counting on, argh (found this out today, had a few tears). But you can't have it all I suppose. I will have to work around this problem. Any solutions or ideas are welcome?

I have been doing a boat load of painting, turns out its very mediative. I have been working with Encaustics and my house now permanently smells of bees wax, mmm. I love it!!

Last weekend I attended the Waterfront Show at the River Landing in Saskatoon. WIND, and sun I love Saskatoon, what a neat little place to have a show. Friday night Carly and I dined at Truffles and had a wonderful dinner consisting of chirizo sausage scallops, trout and a carmel pavlova to finish (my mouth is watering recalling the memory).  On Saturday we set up the booth bright and early and nearly blew away!! I thought we would launch off into the air hanging on to the bottom of the tent with all the paintings blowing about. Glass half full, at least we didn't get rained on.  I had some visits from some fans what a treat (thank you for coming).

Anyhoo off to work. Have got to get to France somehow. Thank you Spiro's!
